we think it's a fine base for staying in new york city. the rooms in the hotel were large. moreover, it was easy to park nearby. plenty of food at breakfast like cereal and fruit.

The hotel is located two blocks off Times Square. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and the hotel was nicely renovated and super clean. The lobby area along with the romms was kept in a modern, pleasing style. You have the opportunity to buy Broadway tickets, etc. at a service desk in the lobby. The lady who worked there was very helpful and tried her best to get us good tickets for a dcent price. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers!

Check in and check out were very easy. They were very accomodating by holding our luggage for us at no charge on our day of departure. Check in is at 3:00 P.M. and we arrived at 10:30 A.M. expecting to store our luggage before check in, but our room was ready and we were able to check right into our room. I had requested a room on an upper floor and we were given the top floor so they do listen to your requests. The concierge was very helpful. The hotel provided a typical continental breakfast at no charge. They have a small bar on the second floor which was very reasonable (great little bartender, too!). Great location.
There had been some repair work done to the ceiling of the room which had not been finished. They needed to do some spackling and painting to finish it off. I don't think they wash the comforters in between guests.
